Marty Drill, CEO at Get Started, a Melbourne based digital agency, gave a remarkable presentation at the Kentico Roadshow in the fall of 2017, where he pointed out how voice-driven devices and applications will radically change the future of content structure and consumption.
Based on Gartner’s top strategic predictions for 2017 and beyond, 30% of web browsing sessions will be done by voice-first browsing by 2020. This prediction means, in fact, that developers and marketers need to consider more than typical display devices, extending their thinking to semantic web and devices such as Amazon Echo and Google Home.
According to Marty, the future of marketing will increasingly be predictive, hyper-personalized, adaptive and responsive. To eliminate friction from your customers' lives, you should make your content and systems available to digital assistants by using structured content and microservices. To do this, you would need to make your content model intelligent, well structured, and readable by bots.
