We are looking for a VP Sales who understands the dynamics of an international scale-up company. We are looking for a down-to-earth individual with a proven track record in recruiting, motivating, and getting the best out of a highly driven enterprise sales team. Someone who gets motivated by making an impact and exceeding targets!

What we are doing

Kontent.ai is a headless Content Management System (CMS). Our goal is to provide our growing customer base with the best way to work with content. Kontent.ai is a global, well-established leader in the web content management industry. Now, we are looking for a new VP Sales in North America to bring our organization to the next level together with the executive management team.

Your role

As VP Sales - North America, you are the most senior member of our US team ultimately responsible for the new business activities in all US states, Canada and Mexico. You report directly to the VP of Global Sales based in Europe. You can be located anywhere in the US although there is a preference for East coast candidates to maximize the number of overlapping business hours.

Our VP Sales - North America, will be characterized as an inspirational and dynamic leader who can get the most out of their team and where needed challenge the status quo. Someone who has excellent communication skills and can motivate and create movement in the organization. You bring deep knowledge, expertise, and thoughtful leadership on sales management and you preferably have experience working in growth capital-backed scale-up companies.


  • Own accountability for meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets for the region
  • Direct management of the new business team comprising enterprise sales professionals, pre-sales engineering, and SDR functions
  • Oversee daily operations of new business sales activities to ensure all leading metrics are on track
  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Report to VP Global Sales and executive board on risks and opportunities in the region

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a Sales Leader in the SaaS  industry (2-3 years direct sales management  a minimum)
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the capability to inspire people to go the extra mile
  • Ideally, you are currently with a headless CMS vendor or Enterprise DXP, eCommerce, PIM, DAM, or CDP 
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Ability to think ahead and with a solid understanding of financials to design performance structures around budget and KPIs
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Preferably located US East Coast
