The early access program enables you to opt into features that are currently under development and shape their future by providing us feedback on the features. When you activate an early-access feature, it affects the whole environment under which you’ve activated it.
Considerations before you begin
Since the features are under development, they’re not yet completely stabilized and ready for production. It’s up to your discretion whether to use them for your production environment or whether to use them at all.All the features we make available for early adopters via the early access program are safe to use. However, their functionality may change over time, and they may have a higher probability of containing bugs and design issues, particularly outside of the main user journeys. It is, therefore, worth considering whether you want to deploy to production a feature that requires some changes in your content model or app configuration, for instance.
Activate an early-access feature
To get an overview of features that are available to you:
In Environment settings, go to General.
Scroll down to find the Early access program card at the bottom.
Click Go to early access program.
The overview screen shows a card for each early-access feature that’s available to you. Each card contains a description of what the particular feature brings you.To activate a feature:
Click the Activate button on the particular feature’s card.
Read the activation notes and the consent you give us by using the feature.
If you agree with the conditions, click Agree and activate to confirm the activation.
Shape the future of the features
As with everything, we love when you share your feedback with us. It’s even more so with the early access program. The early-access features you get to try are very new and under development. That means you have a unique chance to influence how they continue to grow. When you find something hard to use or some aspects of a feature immensely useful while others not so much, tell us! Click the button in the bottom-right and drop us a message. You know the best what you need, and we’re here to give you the best way to work with your content.
Deactivate an early-access feature
If you’ve activated an early-access feature and found out you don’t wish to use it anymore, you can deactivate it. This is also useful if you decide to withdraw your consent with the terms of use of the early access features.
In Environment settings, go to General.
Scroll down to find the Early access program card at the bottom.
Click Go to early access program.
Click the Deactivate button on the particular feature’s card.
Only project managers can activate and deactivate features in the early access program.
Irreversible deactivationBe aware that re-activating certain early-access features may not be possible right away because they have limited resources. If this is the case with the feature you’re about to deactivate, you’ll be warned about it so that you don’t lose access to it by mistake. In case you deactivate such a feature anyway, it doesn’t mean it won’t be available to you ever again; it just may take some time.
