Manage your account
In your profile details, you can change your account details. For example, you can change your name, email notification preferences, and your password.

Change your name
- Select your initials in the bottom left corner.
- Select Profile details.
- Change your First name and Last name.
- Select Update profile to save your changes.
Kontent.ai displays your name in the app, for example, when comparing content item versions or in user management. Your name is also used for certificates in Kontent.ai e-learning.
Is your content still under your original name?
Typically, there's a content item that describes you as an author. Look up that content item with your original name and publish a new version with your new name.
Change your password
- Select your initials in the bottom left corner.
- Select Profile details.
- Select Select new password.
To ensure the highest security, you don't change your password directly in the app. Instead, Kontent.ai sends you an email to your inbox. You'll find a link to change your password there.
Using single sign-on?
If you see Single Sign-On enabled when signing in to Kontent.ai, you don't have a password for Kontent.ai. To change your password, change it in your identity provider.
Choose your notifications
- Select your initials in the bottom left corner.
- Select Profile details.
- In the Email preferences box, select what notifications you'd like to receive:
- Workflow changes – A content item assigned to you had its workflow step changed.
- Comments – A new comment was added in a content item assigned to you.
- Mentions – You were mentioned in a comment.
- Tasks – You were assigned a task in a content item.
- Usage reports with a total price of $0
- Webhook notifications
- Select Update preferences to save your preferences.
Change your email
Your email address is tied to your account because it serves as a login to Kontent.ai. It cannot be changed.
No longer need your account?
If you wish to delete your Kontent.ai account, contact our support team using the chat button in the bottom right and we will remove the account for you.
