REST API is finally here!

Lots of you have requested a feature that can help you import approved content into various CMSs. As of today, we’ve released a REST API so you can build custom import modules or automatic migration scripts for other systems of your choice.

Your feedback, as always, helped us build this feature. We’d like to thank you and, especially, we’d like to thank Tevin Steinke (American Technology Services, Inc.), who was extremely willing to add his two cents to each and every iteration.

We’re improving scanability 
for large content items

When you create content of a richer nature, it’s critical to be able to scan through it quickly to find desired elements or to check what’s been done so far. Check out the screenshot to see the difference for yourself.

Modular content drill down

Previously with Draft, you could build your content with smaller content modules, such as testimonial or a feature. However, if you wanted to update a specific content module, you would need to go back to the content inventory, look up the module, and then edit it. Now, you can modify the content module right within the content itself. Check out how it works below:

Delivering goodness, step-by-step

We’re always improving Draft to make it the top-notch web content production service, but this month we took it one step further: we’re releasing service updates as soon as they’re ready for you.

Embracing the “continuous delivery” approach, we have further enhanced pasting from different sources (e.g., from Word or Google Docs). Thanks to Brian Ward’s suggestion, you can now see what content type the content item is based on while editing it.
