What is Hacktoberfest?
This month-long celebration of open source was originally brought to life by DigitalOcean and GitHub in 2014. Nowadays, companies like Twilio and Microsoft are also taking part. Each year, tens of thousands of people worldwide make their first open source contribution during Hacktoberfest.
The principle is simple. It's all about bringing people together, having fun, and creating quality code to make an impact. The first 50,000 who submit five or more pull requests during October in any GitHub repository will receive a limited-edition t-shirt.
Kentico Cloud GitHub Repositories
We love open source, as well as Hacktoberfest. We have taken our time to meticulously groom our GitHub repositories, prepare well-crafted issues with precise descriptions and mark them with the "hacktoberfest" label. We want to make sure you always understand the reasoning behind each issue and the expected result with ease. Plus, we often add design guidelines and links to documentation or other resources with further details. Should you get stuck while implementing an issue, Kentico developer advocates are on hand to help.
Remember, no contribution is too small and everyone was a rookie at some point in time. From documentation updates to bug fixes or small feature improvements, every pull request has value and helps make the world a better place.
