As the list of digital agencies moving over to Kentico Cloud increases, so too does the list of new features and improvements. And here are some we've prepared for you in the past few months.

Developers will surely appreciate Taxonomy in Delivery API, Webhooks, and Java SDK. Content editors can make use of Enhanced Link Management, and the ability to localize assets when translating content. And Marketers can leverage Cross-device Tracking and Anonymous Visitors in Segments. So read on to find out more.

Taxonomy in Delivery API

As taxonomies capture the semantic meaning of content items, you can use them to provide a faceted filter for your website content or on other channels. When you categorize your content—for example, as articles, your website visitors will be able to easily find the right content using your categories.

Using the Delivery API, developers can easily access the taxonomy terms assigned to the individual content items. In this way, you can also categorize products and use the Taxonomy to render a product filter in your application.

Webhooks

Webhooks can help you seamlessly integrate Kentico Cloud with other services by notifying you or a service when a published content item has been edited or deleted. With webhooks, you can implement full-text search, cache invalidation, automatic publishing to social media, and many other integrations.

For example: a full-text search indexing service is waiting for notifications about changes to the published content. Using webhooks, you can configure a URL where the application will be automatically notified about changes to the content in Kentico Cloud. In a like manner, we've implemented the search on the Kentico Cloud blog

Kentico Cloud Delivery Java SDK

The Java SDK enables Java applications to communicate with Kentico Cloud without having to know the internals of Kentico Cloud's HTTP endpoints. You can simply plug the Maven dependency into your application and start using Kentico Cloud without knowing the exact Delivery querying syntax.

Along with the SDK, we're releasing a Java code generator to save developers some extra time. The SDK was developed by our great contributor Adam Weigold, Senior Software Architect at Trusted Choice.

Enhanced Link Management

Content editors can now have full control over links in Rich Text fields. With the Enhanced Link Management, it is now possible to edit the link properties and define whether links should open in a new tab or not.

In addition to editing web URLs and linking content items from the Content Inventory, you can also link images and files from the Asset Library. Moreover, you can create email links and fill in the email subject right away. Isn't that great?

Assets Localization

Using Kentico Cloud, not only can you localize content for your culture-specific or international projects, but you can also localize descriptions of all assets, such as files and images, and improve your SEO.

With Assets Localization, you can translate the asset description and use the same asset in multiple language variants. The Delivery API ensures that you'll always display the correct description for the given language.

Cross-device Tracking

With the new cross-device tracking functionality, you can analyze the entire journey of your contacts even when they use multiple devices or browsers to consume your content. Kentico Cloud merges all visits of a contact into one profile with a single overview of all sessions.

For each unique visitor who provides their email address, you'll have a single contact in the system, for more accurate and efficient analysis of visitor journeys.

Anonymous Visitors in Segments

Anonymous visitors are those who view your website without providing their email address. Using the Email rule to identify them, you can now include these visitors into your segments of contacts and leverage the power of segments for reporting and defining content personalization variants.
