That, however, shouldn't be the case if you want your content to perform well. In the end, content is king, isn't it? That means every project should be started with a content first approach if content is the most important thing you have. This change in mindset, switching from a design-driven development to a content-driven one, can be quite challenging even for a seasoned architect.
If you start researching articles on content-driven development, sooner or later you'll come across content modeling. Creating an elegant content model is one of the most important tasks for any project, and for a content-driven one, it's essential. That's why we are introducing a service which will help you design an almost perfect project specific content model to set you up for success.
Solid content modeling gives you a strong foundation, but what about all that content that you want to re-use from older projects? Since content reuse is one of the key benefits of a Content as a Service (CaaS) platform you're probably going to want to bring that content over to Kentico Cloud. Our content migration workshops are designed to help you navigate this process.
Introducing Two New Services
Content Modeling Workshops
This flexible service will help you create your content model from scratch, or we can help to validate your existing one. It is suitable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The package includes a series of online or onsite (subject to availability and additional costs) meetings and workshops to help you:
- Understand the content-first approach to projects
- Expand and verify essential Kentico Cloud knowledge related to content modeling
- Identify your core content types
- Work out the project-specific metadata
- Optimize your content models for editors, maintenance, and re-use
- Review existing content and metadata specifications
The suggested time allocation for the full service is eight hours, which we recommend to be delivered in a series of one to two-hour meetings.
Content Migration Workshops
We provide guidance and expertise to help your team:
- Analyze your current content architecture and strategies
- Map and model your content
- Prepare Kentico Cloud for your content
- Perform the migration
The service is delivered as a series of workshop sessions conducted via remote conferences. Workshops are generally around one to two hours where we discuss project details with relevant technical and business stakeholders. We suggest eight to twelve hours for most projects.
