About the role

Kontent.ai is looking to expand its sales roster in North America. The Kontent.ai Enterprise Sales Executive is a significant part of our go-to-market strategy and is on the front lines of new revenue growth. We are looking for a sales talent with SaaS sales experience behind the belt. Reporting to the VP Sales, the Sales Executives will be responsible for driving new annual recurring revenue by selling software subscriptions to medium-sized businesses.

The ideal candidate should have experience in a SaaS environment (ideally CMS, DXP, DAM, or MarTech). Kontent.ai Sales Executives will be pivotal in driving the adoption of our solution across industry verticals such as Healthcare, CPG, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Finance, Technology, and Insurance.

This role is remote-first.

Responsibilities

  • This role will drive revenue growth by working targeted accounts through the entire buyer’s journey to completion and close.
  • This role will involve sourcing leads and being deeply connected to our business development organization.
  • We anticipate our Account Executives will establish a robust client portfolio through proactive outbound initiatives and the creation of a strategic pipeline.
  • Must be comfortable at engaging with all levels of prospects, engaging with all C-suite positions across multiple industries, using available mediums including phone, email, video conference technologies, collaborative word processing tools, and more.
  • Maintain a high level of daily activity, including customer calls, meetings, pipeline management, planning, and execution.
  • Have an understanding and clear delivery of Kontent.ai’s value proposition, key features, product messages, and positioning.
  • Expedite the sales cycle while demonstrating superior knowledge of Kontent.ai products and services and how they can be utilized for maximum impact by addressing the prospect’s current challenges, both technical and business challenges.
  • Uncover, identify, and understand customers’ strategic objectives that highlight the Kontent.ai value proposition and thought leadership.
  • Deliver sales presentations and demonstrations to align products to the customers’ defined requirements and business objectives.
  • Proudly take ownership and accountability for the role’s quotas, targets, and objectives. Meet and exceed quarterly and annual quotas.  
  • A willingness to travel and participate in industry-relevant events like trade shows, conferences, executive dinners, and other events.
  • Experience with and disciplined use of common sales technology tools like CRM, lead gathering, lead intelligence, outreach, and business efficiency tools, all while upholding safe data practices.

Requirements and skills

  • 3+ years of software or solution sales experience with high competency in sales strategy and tactics and a competitive drive
  • Proven “hunter” background with a track record of meeting and exceeding individual new business sales quota (appr. $500k+).
  • Self-starter with experience in working in a fast-paced environment and managing the sales cycle from operations to C-level
  • Previous experience in selling SaaS technologies such as Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), Commerce Platforms, CRM, PIM, CDP, Marketing Automation, CMS technologies, or similar
  • Experience working with a proven sales methodology such as SPIN, MEDDIC, or Challenger Sales is preferred
  • Solid understanding of SaaS, Micro-services, SEO, online marketing, and other current web-related technologies such as JAMstack and MACH
  • Excellent presentation skills, business writing skills, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to travel for company meetings, events, and client meetings

Nice to have skills/experience

  • SaaS hyper-growth experience or seeing a SaaS company grow through key stages of post-funding acceleration, purchase, or merging. 
  • Previous experience working with Content Management Systems. 
  • Previous experience working with and/or understanding of MACH and JamStack technologies.
